In sinus bradycardia the sinus node fires at a slow (<60 bpm) rate. Causes of sinus bradycardia include:
- Normal physiology in an athelete
- Medication (beta-blockers)
- Ischemia (typically inferior myocardial infarction with involvement of the sinus node artery)
- Hypothermia
- Hypothyroidism.
