History

Dear Ivo van der Bilt

According this paper Naming of the waves in the ECG, with a brief account of their genesis, first use of PQRST was made by Einthoven for mathematically corrected curve of capillary electrometer. Can you kindly provide paper of Du Bois-Reymond?

Dear DS, These links will provide you with the paper of Du Bois - Raymond. I have had a quick look at the first link which is rather lengthy. But on page 183 at least the Q and S waves are mentioned. As frog legs probably do not show any P waves I doubt that these can be found in his paper.

image with cardiomyocyte number

Your image showing a heart with 300 trillion cardiomyocytes is incorrect and should be removed, there are not even that many cells in the entire human body.

Image has been adjusted in accordance with this study.--drj 17:13, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
