|Description = A 47 year old man was brought to the emergency room after having experienced chest discomfort and shortness of breath, followed by a syncopal episode. He was short of breath (breathing at 40 and requiring 100% oxygen to maintain an adequate saturation) and had a depressed level of consciousness. He was pale, diaphoretic, and in shock with a pulse of 120 bpm and a blood pressure of 70 mmHg systolic. | |||
